As you use GoTxt, we build a learner profile — your language preferences, progress level, vocabulary, and study plan. This is what makes the AI tutor adaptive and personal.

Usage data

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors discover and navigate gotxt.ai. This includes anonymised page views and referral sources. No personal identifiers are sent to Google Analytics.

2. What we don't do

• We don't store chat transcripts or voice recordings. Messages pass through our AI provider to generate responses and are not retained.
• We don't handle payments directly. All billing is processed by our payment partner — we never see or store your card details.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
• We don't use your conversations to train AI models.

3. How we use your information

We use the data we collect solely to:

• Provide and improve the language tutoring service
• Remember your progress between sessions
• Send essential account-related emails (password reset, service updates)

4. Cookies

We use a single functional cookie to remember your site language preference. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for anonymised visit measurement. No tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and learning profile as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time — see below.
